Engineering Plastic: PA(Nylon)

PA6
Nylon 6 is a tough, abrasion and lightweight material. It has improved surface appreance, creep resistance, and processability compared to nylon 66. It is suitable to mold into bearing or tools need good impact strength. The toughness of PA6 is better than POM, but its stiff and tough can not compete with PC(polycarbonate). Nylon 6 is easy to absorb moisture, when moisture content rised it significant increase occur in impact strength and general enery absorbing characteristics. For glass fiber reinforced grade, it can be used high temperature up to 220℃, so it can be good candidate of industrial tools.

PA66
Nylon 66 allows it to be used in almost any application that required high physical strength, ductility, heat resistance and chemical resistance. Therefore, Nylon 66 is one of the most versatile engineering thermoplastics. It is also an outstanding candidate for metal replacement applications. The use of internal lubricants in Nylon 66 significant improves on the already excellent wear resistance and friction properties. Thus it is to be used widely in industrial parts needing wear resistance.

PA12
Nylon 12 has an outstanding chemical resistance, excellent durability as well as wide range of flexibility. It is widely used in automobile field such as hose, tube, connector holder and fuel parts. Due to its low water absorbing, dimension stability and wear resistance, it is also use as industrial parts needing high performance.

PA46
PA46 is able to applied to following fields. Automotive parts such as transmission components, timing system, gear, lamp fittings and electrical parts. And electrics parts such as connector and PCB mounted components, industrial items such as parts required resisting heat, vibrations and impact. Motor parts such as oil pump gear, balancer gear, sprockets, CVT – friction roller and spacer and timing parts and so on.
